Shared Farms are one of China’s rural revitalization projects. In 2017, China’s southernmost island province took the national lead in developing shared farms. The aim was to make good use of Hainan’s excellent ecological environment and unique tropical agricultural resources, combining tourism with ecology and other elements to promote the deep integration of the agriculture, tourism, education, culture, and healthcare industries. 1. Hainan Rosewood Valley Shared Farm
The 4A-level attraction Hainan Rosewood Valley is China’s first international rosewood themed shared farm. Covering an area of 10 square kilometers, the farm includes a vast field of flowers, a garden where visitors can pick their own produce, new technology, a rosewood museum, and provides customized services catering to those looking for a health and wellness retreat.
2. Hainan Jiahe Shared Farm
Jiahe shared farm,located in Youwen Village in Danzhou, brings together agriculture, processing, rural tourism, and the sightseeing industry. It’s praised by both locals and travelers as an untouched paradise.
3. Haikou Bougainvillea Shared Farm
The Haikou Bougainvillea Shared Farm is located in Bianyang Village, Haikou, an area popular with flower lovers. The incredible variety of different bougainvillea flowers attracts large numbers of visitors annually.
4. Ding’an Herbs Garden
Located in Wentouling Village, the Ding’an Herbs Garden is a great place to relax your body and spirit as well as explore the wide variety of Li Medicine and Southern TCM related plants and plumeria trees.
5. Sanya Damao Fantasy World Shared Farm
Sanya Damao Fantasy World Shared Farm is located in the hills of Ganza Ridge in the northeastern part of Sanya City. It has a 14-kilometer long cycling track that runs from the Zhongliao Village Committee office building to the Sannong Reservoir in Damao Village.
6. Tunchang Dream Fragrance Hill Park
Tunchang’s Dream Fragrance Hill Park, a national 4A-level attraction, is located in Jialipo Village, Tunchang. Many varieties of aromatic plants are cultivated here, and visitors come from far and wide to taste the park’s herb-infused coffee, tea, and other cuisine.
7. Wenchang Damiao Shared Farm
Wenchang Damiao Shared Farm is located in Tanniu Town, Wenchang, and offers not only authentic Wenchang flavors but also a B&B with a strong north Hainan aesthetic.
